Wow - what an amazing summer holidays packed full of fun!
We were so excited to be back, providing holiday clubs in Marchwood Youth Club on a Monday and Wednesday, Hythe Youth Club on a Tuesday and Thursday, Netley View Park on a Monday and 4 different parks around Hythe and Dibden on Wednesday's! On a Friday, we had fun-day Friday with trips to Lepe Beach, Blackwell Bushcraft, New Forest Wildlife Park and Raft Building at Ferny Crofts. This provided the young people with some challenges, developing problem solving skills, team building and communication.
We had a total of 1012 sign-ins, of this total, 611 people were unique attenders with many families attending regularly - we loved seeing so many of you everyday and also meeting lots of new local people!
With many thanks to DAF, and our amazing cooks! We produced 687 portions of healthy food to feed many of those attending at no cost to them throughout the holidays.
We also had amazing visits from Crank Pots, getting creative with clay! Wonderful well-being drop-ins from Solent Mind and lovely visits from Yellow Door to show their services. The incredible Connect4Communities also put on a fantastic event at Ewart Recreation Ground called a Family Fun festival and it was great to see lots of you there!
We loved every second of it! We would like to say thank you to all our funders and supported - Hythe and Dibden Parish Council, Marchwood Parish Council, DAF, NFDC, Hythe Youth Club, Marchwood Youth Club and our SUPERSTAR VOLUNTEERS - incredible, dedicated people who make all this possible. THANK YOU ALL. We hope you all had great fun and look forward to our next holiday clubs planned for October half-term.
