Meet the team - Crystle!

I have lived in the Waterside since the age of 11. I attended Applemore College where I got in with the wrong crowd and took a few wrong turns along the way. At 16 I was pregnant with my first child and left school with no grades. At 24 I was asked to return to Applemore to give a speech on being a teenage mum by a local youth worker. Since then I went on to volunteer first for The Handy Trust, gaining qualifications along the way and winning The Prince’s Trust young achiever of the year. I got employed with The Handy Trust in 2012 in which I have completed more training and gone on to lead sessions on sexual health and helping the local young people of the area. This job is not just a job but a passion to help people see regardless of the path you take you can still achieve your dreams. I have lived in the Waterside since the age of 11.
