We hope everyone is keeping well!
The Handy Trust have recently been out on more detached work, seeing 70 young people, 38 in Marchwood and 32 in Hythe and Dibden since our last update. It's been great to keep catching up with lots of you and offering support to those who need it. We have also seen big groups of you meeting up - often groups of 30, please remember to keep safe. Have you seen us?
We have also been out every Friday in partnership with Fawley Parish Council youth workers on the minibus. We've really enjoyed seeing lots of families out enjoying themselves in the afternoon and talking with lots of young people in the evening. In the first 3 weeks, we spoke with 214 children and young people and 21 adults. With many thanks to DAF, we have provided families with fruit and juice cartons in the afternoon. Did you see the bus? We have also been offering support for young people who are struggling to find a job, education or training as well as other issues on social media, over the phone and some face to face contact, following Covid-19 guidelines.
